This is a sample of what our day would usually look like:
Daily Schedule, 2023-2024
7:30-8:30: Optional Morning Care.
Children arrive and choose indoor work.
8:30-9:00: Regular Drop-off Time.
Children choose their works upon getting settled into the classroom.
8:30-10:45: Montessori Morning Work Cycle.
Children receive individual and group lessons during this time. They may also choose to practice their works and have snack during this time.
10:45-11:15: Circle Time
Morning Affirmations, Calendar, Sound of the Week and share time, singing, grace and courtesy lessons, group cultural lessons.
11:15-12:00 Morning Recess
Outdoor gardening, animal care, gross motor play.
12:00-12:30 Lunch time.
Class eats together, parents provide lunch.
12:30-12:45: Transition to Rest Time.
Children use the bathroom, quiet reading, etc.
12:45-1:15: Rest Time.
Nappers sleep, other children quietly rest their bodies, read or meditate.
1:15-2:45: Afternoon Work Cycle and Outdoor
Children awake from their restful time naturally, then choose Montessori, art, and enrichment works. Many children choose to spend the afternoon outside. An afternoon snack is provided during this time.
On Mondays the children have music class, Wednesday afternoons are for cultural cooking projects, and on Fridays are for science investigations.
2:45-3:00 Closing Circle.
Children gather for stories, songs, games, and share time, as they await pick-up.
3:00-3:30: Pick-up Time.
3:30-5:30: Aftercare Enrichment Program. (Currently only available at Eastside Location)
Children play indoors and outdoors. Snack is available.
